A society governed by The Society Registration Act,1860 is an association of individuals formed for advancement of sports, music, arts, education, culture, literature, and other things specified in the aforesaid act. Minimum of 7 members are required to start a society. A society can be registered or unregistered. But a registered society enjoys benefits to withstand in the society, tax benefits and separate legal entity.
